Kourtney Kardashian, who recently became a new mum last month, took to Instagram to update her fans on her health after taking a short break from the online platform. 7 weeks after giving birth, Kourtney Kardashian posted a video on her Instagram story revealing her new workout routine in an attempt to get back in shape from her postpartum body. The reality TV star, 44, who was expecting a baby boy with her husband and musician, Travis Barker, 48, reportedly gave birth to Rocky Thirteen Barker on the 4th of November, 2023, in Los Angeles. In her IG post, she left a sweet message and an update for her fans who have been waiting for her comeback. This would be her fourth baby, with three of them born with her first partner, Scott Disick. Kourtney and Travis officially tied the knot in 2022 after having had a passionate and public relationship and promptly taking a step further in their kinship by getting engaged after less than a year of dating in 2021.
The new mom, who is a huge dedicated fitness buff, revealed that she has been following the viral 12-3-30 treadmill workout challenge that has been going on the internet lately. She posted a video and captioned it, “7 weeks postpartum: first day in the gym doing 30 minutes walking 3.0 12.0 incline. Taking it easy, no rush, no pressure mamas. Your body is healing. It’s not a race.”
The TV personality, socialite, and businesswoman warmly documented her first day back on the track at the gym ever since she was last active before giving birth to her baby boy, Rocky, in November. The couple now has a total of 7 children, including the kids from both their previous marriages— Kourtney’s children Mason Dash, 14, Penelope Scotland, 11, and Reign Aston, 9, with her ex-husband, Scott Disick, and Travis’ offspring Landon, 20, Alabama Luella, 17, and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya, 24, with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler.
On Travis’ birthday, which aligns with the birth month of Barker’s new family addition, Kourtney expressed that the new doting father is presently enjoying his latest role as a father to their infant. She left a sweet note for her hubby along with some intimate pictures of them on her last Instagram post, “To my husband, my soulmate, my best friend, my lover, my daddy to our baby boy, my everything, you make all of my dreams come true, and I feel so blessed to have you by my side. I love you beyond words, forever.”
According to the couple’s close sources, they have noticed that the bond between the duo has strengthened ever since welcoming their baby. As Poosh’s founder described in her IG story, you have to set your treadmill inclination to 12 per cent, three miles per hour, and walk for 30 minutes.
The viral fitness routine was made widespread by a 24-year-old American social media influencer and YouTuber, Lauren Giraldo, in 2020, after she shared the exercise on TikTok. According to Lauren, she gives credit to the 12-3-30 fitness routine for her weight loss journey, which she describes as an easy and simple routine and enough for her to maintain her weight, considering that she used to find the gym “intimidating.” The exercise routine went viral across IG and TikTok after many influencers practised the same and claimed to be working out.
