Celeb Deepfakes Surge: Alia, Rashmika, Kajol Targeted

Deep fake technology is now becoming a major concern, it is not only in Bollywood but also everywhere in the world. It is heartbreaking to hear that celebrities like Rashmika, Kajol, Katrina Kaif, and now Alia Bhatt have become one of the victims among them. The Deepfake videos can spread like a flood on social media, which affects the reputation and personal life in a harmful way. 

This video is skillfully edited and morphed Alia’s face onto another woman’s, firing questions about the misuse of technology to false content. As the edited video gained friction, social media pages struggled with the challenge of controlling its spread and also supporting the celebrities who all are involved in this Deepfake issue.  

The famous Bollywood Actress, Alia Bhat, is at the center of this controversy and is marking her statement regarding the deep fake video. The response lacks from her side which adds an air of mistrust, leaving the fans and the public keen to hear her opinion on this offence of privacy. This kind of incident that occurs in social media underscores the rising threat of deep fake technology, highlighting the need for more awareness, protection measures, and legal actions to stop such cruel activities and prevent the integrity of every person in the eyes of the public.

She finds herself trapped in the web of deep fake technology like other famous actresses, arising as its current target in a video where her face seamlessly replaces another stranger woman. The edited video footage shoots the woman making gestures, increasing the concerns over the misuse of the technology. This incident started to trouble celebrities like Rashmika Mandana and Katrina Kaif. The silent answer from the actress Alia further emphasises the complex atmosphere of these misleading creations. It is a notable thing to protect every person from the deep fake technology which affects their social and personal life in different aspects. 

Earlier this month, the famous Tollywood actress Rashmika Mandanna conveyed the uncomfortable situation of her viral deep fake video on Twitter ( X ), showing deep concern. She shared her worst experiences and heartbreaking fear increased by the misuse of technology. After that, the most renowned actor in Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan voiced out the issue, marking it as a compelling legal case about the activity.

The actor, displaying the deep fake ordeal, showed gratitude for her current support system but spotlighted the vulnerability women face in the digital world. She shared that if this incident happened to her during her school days or college days, she couldn’t imagine and didn’t know how to tackle all these incidents. For this, the actress Rashmika Mandanna tagged the official account of Cyberabad Police and Maharashtra Cyber on Twitter ( X ), the nodal agency for cybersecurity and cyber crime investigation in Maharashtra, seeking help and their attention. 

In the area of professional attempt, the most elegant actress Alia Bhatt achieved acclaim, holding the Best Actor award at the Filmfare OTT Awards for her debut in the  Web Original Film category for the movie “ Darlings”. She also collected a National Award for her strong acting in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “ Gangubai Kathiyawadi”. She appeared in all the different cinematic journeys in Karan Johar’s “ Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani” and her Bollywood debut, “Heart of Stone”. Currently, she is working on the upcoming film directed by Vasan Balan’s “ Jigra”. Alia decided to mark her position with versatility and mark her career as a talented actress in the film industry.
